The KSG's more complex double magazine and shell release system was/is more prone to feed problems. The early KSG guns had a number of issues that Kel-Tec corrected on the run.The KSG would typically cost close to a thousand bucks, but the KS7 is about half that. The KelTec KS7 holds seven rounds of 2.75-inch shells and can chamber 3-inch shells as well. That’s not a bad deal for such a small and lightweight shotgun. KS7 slightly heavier but not significantly so. - KS7 holds six rounds in the mag, as opposed to Shockwave five. KS7 can shoot mini shells out of the box without an adapter. They kept falling out on the KSG but stayed put on the KS7. Note the differences in the front section of the stock assemblies. Everything in the rear is essentially the same.
