I got tired of the trolls and bickering in the other thread with no one actually posting objective evidence of why Gen 2 shocks will/won't work in a Gen 1 truck, so I decided try it out myself. My shocks are in need of rebuild, and I was able to pick up a brand new set of Gen 2 shocks for $650.
