Cancun is much more a partying environment than Cozumel. I would look south of Cancun or south of San Miguel on Cozumel if you want to just relax with nice sandy beaches. PlyaDelCarmen is nice with varying levels of luxury..... Cozumel is more rustic and this suits me well. Cheers and good luck!

There is a beautiful pool, but no beach. From the Cozumel airport it is about a 10 minute drive. From the Cancun airport it was an hour drive to the ferry and hopefully you’ll arrive when the ferry is about to depart. Otherwise you will have to wait on the ferry. Then it’s approximately a 40 minute ferry ride. The hotel is a very short taxi ride from the ferry.
