Rebooted my computer twice. I still can't get the game to actually start. Go into steam settings > In game, and disable the steam overlay box. fixed the issue for me. So we wont be able to use mods! so sad! Made the huge mistake of updating for patch 5 and now I'm stuck watching the spinning circle spin at 100%.When I launched the game it would just get stuck on 100% when loading and never finished I have tried: Restarting computer. Restarting Steam. Restarting the Game. Allocating more storage for the game. Disabling the steam overlay. Running as administrator.does every save you load into not work? and are you missing mods you previously had? i know right now nothing will load if you are missing mods. if youre on the main menu and hit continue, it will not tell you this, it just wont go. if you go to the load menu it will show you (but not load). im not sure if youd be able to switch to bg3mm easily ...I essentially made the game fix itself, and it did (meaning: most likely this was an issue related to caching and/or something like inconsistences in registry settings etc.).
